Our forest partner Cheile Bizazului-Hamas, National Park has shipped Norway spruce (𝘗𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘢 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘦𝘴) samples collected from trees affected by forest fire and bark beetle attack to our coordinator, Abo Akademi University, where they were  prepared for testing.

This marking the beginning of V-Forest’s technical work on the valorisation of underutilised forest biomass into valuable products. Additional batches of wood samples are currently being prepared for shipment to other project partners ahead of winter.
